 Welcome to the official online history of Langney Sports. As the banner above states however, this is not merely devoted to the Club’s history ... but also its memory.
On 26 May 2001 Langney Sports FC officially changed its name to Eastbourne Borough FC, and this site celebrates the achievements of Langney Sports FC up until that point - not only on the pitch, but off it as well.
The name-change meant that the club was left with a redundant domain name for its official website ... until now
Eastbourne Borough FC has since gone from strength to strength, and at the end of the 2002/03 season, won promotion to the Premier Division of the Dr Martens-sponsored Southern League. Compared to many clubs, the history of Langney Sports is relatively short: from 1964 to 2001. It is however, very well documented, and that is something I aim to put to good use on this site. It will however, take time with the main Eastbourne Borough site being my main pre-occupation during the football season, so please be patient.
Nevertheless I have endeavoured to make sure that there is something on (almost) every page of the site before putting it online. Therefore, you won’t be wasting your time by having a browse.
