The club played its first competitive match at Priory Lane in September 1983, and moved to the current pitch in time to start its first season in Division One of the Sussex County League just three years later.
The development of the facilities has been nothing short of phenomenal: begun and largely maintained by a small group of determined - and many would say, totally mad - individuals. Many said it would never amount to anything and was doomed to failure ... how wrong they were!
